Kawai Malaysia Contributes RM3,000 to Malaysian Federation of the Deaf as Part of the Kawai Beethoven Challenge
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Kawai Malaysia is pleased to announce the successful completion of the Kawai Beethoven Challenge, an initiative designed to promote inclusivity and raise awareness of the challenges faced by the Deaf community in Malaysia. As part of this campaign, Kawai Malaysia presented a contribution of RM3,000 to the Malaysian Federation of the Deaf (MFD).
During the cheque presentation ceremony, Mr. Jonathan, CEO of Kawai Malaysia, handed over the contribution to Mr. Mohamad Sazali Shaari, Executive Director of MFD. The funds were raised through a unique 30-day challenge that invited the public to engage with the campaign by generating 80,000 views on social media.
“We are thrilled to have achieved our goal and to be able to support the Malaysian Federation of the Deaf in their efforts to advocate for the rights and opportunities of the Deaf community,” said Mr. Jonathan.
The Kawai Beethoven Challenge encouraged social media users to create short videos signing the phrase “Kawai Beethoven Challenge” in Malaysian Sign Language and share them on their platforms. The initiative was aimed at breaking stereotypes, promoting inclusivity, and showcasing music as a universal language that everyone can enjoy.
The funds raised will support MFD’s various programs and activities, which include advocacy, education, and outreach services for the Deaf community across Malaysia.
