Tengku Mohamad Hadif, a native of Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, began playing the piano at the age of seven and made his concerto debut with the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (MPYO) at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas in 2018.
He is the Gold Medalist of the 1st E-Artium Piano Competition and Festival 2021 Malaysia and the Third Prize in the 1st Persatuan Chopin Malaysia National Piano Competition.
His accomplishments include being named "The Most Promising Malaysian Pianist" in the 6th ASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition and a finalist in the 2017 Ipoh Music Festival International Piano Competition. He has studied with renowned pianists such as Ng Chong Lim, Professor Li Ming Qiang, Foo Mei Yi, and Stephen Hough.
Hadif was chosen as the pianist for the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in 2015. Since then, he has performed numerous orchestral and chamber works.
He enjoys arranging popular music into a piano solo rendition in his spare time. As a music arranger, Hadif gained public attention with his rendition of P Ramlee's Getaran Jiwa on his YouTube channel. In addition, he appeared on a live television broadcast for Borak Kopitiam, the Official Music Video for Anugerah MeleTOP Era 2021, and won the 2nd Prize in Pertandingan Piano Solo Instrumental organized by Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam with his arrangement on Warna by Sheila Majid.
